11/14/2005 - Apani Networks and Blue Oasis Technologies Join Forces to Provide Network Security and Compliance Solutions

 

San Diego, CA - Apani Networks, the leading enterprise network security software provider focused on securing inside the network perimeter, and Blue Oasis Technologies, a premier software development and technology services company specializing in Data Management and Security, have entered into a partnership agreement to address the growing need to secure inside the network perimeter by encrypting data-in-motion and protecting data-at-rest.

    Blue Oasis will take advantage of Apani s EpiForce, a centralized security management system, to provide network security design, planning and implementation services to address the security needs of new and existing enterprise clients. Designed for large distributed deployments, EpiForce will automate security policy enforcement while enabling network wide point-to-point encryption of data-in-motion without the typical management challenges associated with such a task.

    By providing centrally managed machine-level access control, Blue Oasis customers will remotely ensure access is restricted on each network device to only authorized employees and/or machines within each of their customer's networks. Equipment or users may be added or removed quickly through an administration console, which immediately pushes the updated security policy to agents deployed network-wide.

    EpiForce operates at the network layer, so is transparent to both users and applications, therefore requiring no modification to existing software applications, including CRM, ERP and Inventory tracking systems. This will ease phased deployments to add immediate benefit to customers, without the headaches of embracing new security solutions.

    Blue Oasis will use EpiForce to segment customer networks into security zones, allowing application of defense-in-depth strategies to further thwart internal attacks. In fact, the challenging deployment of VLANs may no longer be necessary, saving time and cost for each end user, while mitigating the potential impact of a perimeter security breach.

 

05/20/2005 - Paul Tartre Named to the Executive Committee of the San Diego State University Alumni Association Board

San Diego, CA - Paul Tartre, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Oasis Technologies was named to the executive committee of the board directors, of the San Diego State University Alumni Association. Paul graduated from SDSU in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science and has continued to stay involved with the university. Paul commented, "It's important to me to give back to the institution that has helped me along the way. Plus, I have a good time doing it." Paul has served on the Homecoming Committee and he is a member of the Finance Committee for 2004-2005. Paul role on the Executive Committee will be to serve as the chairman of the Finance Committee and to provide leadership within the organization. This is Paul's second year on the board of directors.
